Australia Day 2025 will be an inclusive community family-friendly event to reflect, respect and celebrate as we come together on this day.
This event will include live entertainment, Indigenous culture, community awards and Indigenous catering for a community breakfast. An Auslan interpreter and live captioning will support the event and catering will be arranged to ensure it is accessible to all.
There will also be a citizenship ceremony and Community Citizen Awards including Citizen of the Year. An Australia Day Ambassador will assist with the official proceedings which will be followed by a complimentary breakfast and entertainment.
The event will commence with a smoking ceremony and Welcome to Country, followed by the Wadumbah Aboriginal Dance Group performing traditional dancing and didgeridoo playing. An Indigenous morning tea will be provided by Kuditj Kitchen who are the only Aboriginal-owned and operated catering service in Perth.
