The City's Australia Day Morning Ceremony will include a Flag Raising Ceremony, a Citizenship ceremony, and a community BBQ breakfast. Free entertainment will also be provided.
The event will promote the message "Reflect. Respect. Celebrate. We're all part of the story" by incorporating Indigenous language and culture, providing engaging activities and promotional opportunities through a local 100% Aboriginal-owned cultural immersion consultancy business.
This Australia Day morning event is an annual tradition that the South Perth community looks forward to, as we acknowledge and highlight the contribution of local community members and groups through the presentation of the Citizen of the Year Awards, and also the welcoming of new Citizens of Australia to our community. Two of our local Rotary Clubs will also have the opportunity to fundraise through the Great Aussie Breakfast and event parking assistance.
