Celebrating Multicultural Australia

The free community event will be a day full of family-friendly activities and performances, especially for multicultural communities, to connect and engage with what Australia Day represents. Participants will be invited to attend in cultural dress/costumes to demonstrate the diversity of Australian cultures.

Participants will enjoy live performances from multicultural musicians and dancers. Participants will also engage with activities which will be fun for the entire family such as: Lego building, henna, loomband making, and Aboriginal-inspired dot painting. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about native plants and pot their own seedlings to take home and plant in their garden.

Fun competitions will be held throughout the day for best-dressed, best Lego creation/Henna/Painting/Loomband etc. Winners of competitions will also be awarded gifts. The event will promote inclusivity and a sense of belonging for multicultural communities by highlighting the diversity of cultures in Australia.
