Australia Day

The Huonville Bowls & Community Club will host a free Australia Day family event, combining our annual Open Day with a community BBQ and barefoot bowls. The program will feature fun activities for all ages - including barefoot bowls sessions, children's games, face painting, and a community BBQ - creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. To leave a lasting legacy, the event will also include the production of a professional promotional video, showcasing bowls as a fun, family-friendly, and social sport. This resource will strengthen the club's year-round recruitment and community engagement efforts. Aligned with the national theme “Reflect. Respect. Celebrate.”, the day will bring the community together to reflect on our shared values, respect each other's contributions, and celebrate Australia Day in a spirit of unity and enjoyment.
