The Aboriginal and Multicultural Youth Music and Culture Festival will bring young people (18 - 35 years old) from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, those born in Australia, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, international students, migrants and refugees together for an Australia Day celebration, in the heart of Adelaide. The festival will start with a Welcome to Country and acknowledgement by local Aboriginal elders. The festival will include musical and dance performances, food and information stalls and Aboriginal and multi-cultural celebrations by young people themselves, reflecting and celebrating Australia's multicultural identity. The event will be held at the Minor Works Building, in the Adelaide CBD. The event builds on YCW's work with young people from Aboriginal and Multicultural communities and will be followed up by other events after the festival to continue "Reflecting, Respecting and Celebrating" Australia's rich and inclusive identity.
