The National Citizenship and Flag Raising Ceremony is held at Rond Terrace on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin. It is an opportunity for the nation to Reflect. Respect. Celebrate. on Australia Day. An Australian Citizenship Ceremony will welcome our newest Australian Citizens. The Australian National Flag will be flown overhead by a Seahawk SH-60R Helicopter and raised onstage by Australia’s Federation Guard. The ceremony will include the RMC Band, 21 gun-salute and a RAAF fly past. Members of the public are welcome to attend the event but will not have access to the fenced off area. There is plenty of room for you to bring a chair or a rug to sit on and watch the event
