Australia Day, celebrated on 26 January, is a national day of celebration when people around the country join together to celebrate what's great about Australia and being Australian.
Here in Queensland, South Bank Parklands is once again the setting for the huge celebration in Brisbane and right across the state various venues will play host to their own special events.
In 2010 Australia Day falls on a Tuesday and as usual this public holiday will be jam packed with a wide variety of activities and entertainment. Spectacular fireworks, lunches, BBQ's, children's entertainment, concerts and walks are sure to be part of the 2010 celebrations across the state.
