Aussie of the Month

The Aussie of the Month Award is a school based award program being presented in over 440 schools across Western Australia.

Like all of our awards the Aussie of the Month award recognises personal endeavour, achievement and contribution to the community.  The awards also reflect some of the values we share as Australians, a sense of fair play, generosity of spirit, commitment to community participation and a real concern for the environment.

Many schools have successfully integrated the Aussie of the Month Program into their civics and citizenship curriculum, by using the award to generate discussion on community participation and involvement.

Each month a student is chosen as the Aussie of the Month and the recipient is presented with the Aussie of the Month badge and certificate at a school assembly.  The certificate and badge is kept by recipients as a memento of the occasion .
