- concerts catering for specific interests (rock concert, country and western, folk and blues) Need to involve people experienced at doing this

- Local councils may have expertise
- Involves a lot of specialty knowledge and skill (e.g. sound technician, lighting technician, ticketing, knowledge of regulations)
- Contingency plans for inclement weather are also advisable
- Need to identify a suitable performance space (some creative thinking can transform spaces)
Processes and organisation
Many larger areas provide free Australia Day concert
This may involve attracting sponsors and possibly the goodwill of performers who may provide services at no cost
Depending on the focus of the concert, school groups may be able to contribute
Promotion, publicity, adequate insurance and microphones are basic and predictable costs that must be met
