The 2013 Shire of Capel Australia Day Awards Evening is being held on Thursday 24th January 2013 in Boyanup from 6.00pm to 8.00pm with refreshments offered from 5.30pm.
The venue is the Hugh Kilpatrick Hall, South West Highway, Boyanup.
We look forward to an enjoyable evening where we have a wonderful entertainer, Bernard Carney; we will conduct a citizenship ceremony, present community awards and celebrate the work of our community volunteers.
This year we are excited that Rhonda Parker will be our Australia Day Ambassador speaker. Rhonda was the WA Local Hero recipient for 2010 as a result of her outstanding work with the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival and numerous other community volunteer roles. Rhonda is an inspirational local community leader and has a great story to share.
There will be supper at the conclusion of the evening.
