Event Details

The East Gippsland Shire celebration, hosted jointly with the Lions Club of Lakes Entrance, will take place on Saturday 26 January 2013 at the Esplanade Reserve (near the Cunninghame Arm Footbridge) in Lakes Entrance. Festivities will start at 7.30 am with a free community breakfast, local entertainment and children’s activities and prizes. The formalities will follow from 9.00 am with a flag raising, citizenship ceremony and Australia Day Awards. East Gippsland’s Australia Day Ambassador, Dr Susan Alberti AO will give an address. The morning will conclude with a birthday cake to celebrate those born on Australia Day. Remember to bring sun protection and something to sit on.
