In previous years, the ceremony has been attended by the Governor of Queensland, Premier of Queensland and Lord Mayor of Brisbane, encompasses a unique display of the Australian Defence Force, including the raising of the Australian, Queensland, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags, RAAF flypast and a traditional 21 gun salute.
