He now writes Money’s Melbourne in The Age with video interviews on-line. Lawrence began his career as a copyboy on The Sun News-Pictorial (now Herald-Sun). The elder son of the late Doris Van Der Hagen, The Weekly Times' longest-serving Miranda columnist, Lawrence has twice won the Melbourne Press Club's Quill award for Victoria's best columnist.
