Cameron Caine
Victorian 2010 Local Hero Finalist

During the Black Saturday fires, Senior Constable Cameron Caine helped save many lives. However, it was in the days following the fires that his community spirit really shone. Cameron is President of the Kinglake Football and Netball Club and saw this as an opportunity to help the community regain its spirit. The club was badly damaged, but Cameron’s leadership refocused the club members and saw them raise $200,000 to help the community recover.
In 2011, Cameron received the Victoria Police Valor Award for his work on Black Saturday.
