Peter McLean

Peter McLean was raised on a working farm near Camden, returning to the area after living in the suburbs of Sydney. Peter’s closeness to, and enjoyment of the natural environment has instilled in him a strong sense of environmental awareness, as well a close affinity with regional Australia. His past roles have included working with National Parks and environmental education for Local Government. Peter arrived at Keep Australia Beautiful NSW in 2004, managing various projects including Tidy Towns, Sustainable Communities which has allowed him to travel extensively in regional NSW and see first-hand the challenges facing each area of the State. Peter took on the role of CEO in 2007 and has successfully repositioned Keep Australia beautiful NSW as a leading environmental and community not-for-profit organisation. Peter holds a degree in Environmental Management (UWS Hawkesbury), Certificates in Bush Regeneration and Business Governance and is currently completing his MBA at UTS majoring in Community Management and Business Law.
