Donny Galella is a Sydney based fashion stylist, makeover guru & fashion writer.
As one of Australia’s leading fashion stylists; his vast styling portfolio includes: photo shoots, runway shows, dressing celebrities on the red carpet and hosting style & makeover stage shows around Australia for Westfield.
His key commitment and number one passion is to help everyday Aussie's look good, feel amazing and provide them with a major confidence boost. With his specialty area being personal styling and makeovers, he has now performed over 450 makeovers in the last four years.
Every Friday on Channel 7's The Morning Show, Donny is part of The 'Style Squad' who delivers a weekly fashion verdict on the best and worst dressed celebrities around the world. Over the past three years he has also appeared on Sunrise, Today Tonight, Mornings with Kerri-Anne, Today, Weekend Today and A Current Affair.
When styling his clients, Donny was frustrated at seeing gaps in the fashion market. So he established his own fashion label ‘GALELLA’ in 2004, initially with a range of women’s headwear and accessories. By 2008 the label expanded to address the growing demand of fashionable yet affordable menswear in Australia. The self taught designer’s first three headwear collections quickly earned him the title of ‘Milliner to the stars’, and was stocked at leading retailers around Australia including Myer. Donny’s creations and styling clients have included: Sophia Loren, Sir Richard Branson, Carson Kressley, Kelly Rowland, Peaches Geldof, Kate Ritchie, Jennifer Hawkins, Melissa Doyle, Sonia Kruger, Kylie Gillies and many more.
Donny is also an official Westfield fashion stylist, a fashion expert for Foxtel’s LifeStyle You channel and he writes a weekly fashion column for The Wentworth Courier and The Southern Courier and is often quoted by media on all things fashion and style.
