Media personality and Celebrity dancer Carmelo Pizzino shot to fame in 2006 making his Dancing With The Stars debut, already famous in the dancing world with a world number 1 title under his belt Carmelo quickly became an audience favourite with his flawless moves, good looks and infectious charisma.
After six series on the hit show Carmelo has been partnered with some of the most high profile celebrities, making his debut with legendary actress Noeline Brown, making the grand final with chess grandmaster Arrianne Caolili and again the following year with television presenter Kylie Gillies. Carmelo has then gone on to partner Tamara Jaber, Lara Bingle and in 2012 television icon Kerri-Anne Kennerly providing the show with some of the most memorable and entertaining moments.
In 2007 Carmelo was given the opportunity to join Jason Gilkinson’s ‘Burn The Floor’s Floorplay’ world tour, touring Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Japan, Europe, Canada and the US.
Carmelo also performed internationally, with appearances on So You Think You Can Dance in Holland, and on his return to Australia was invited to choreograph So You Think You Can Dance Australia.
Earlier this year, Carmelo was selected to be an Australia Day Ambassador, which saw him travelling to regional Australia to celebrate the naming of various Australians of the Year.
Carmelo was recently chosen as the only member of the Australian cast to be a part of the Dancing With The Stars online game produced by the BBC. He joins the stars of the US and UK series in this world first for the Dancing With The Stars franchise.
Now a confident, well-spoken and experienced media personality Carmelo can be seen regularly on Sunrise, The Morning Show and Today Tonight. Credited with helping Kerri-Anne lose weight with a diet and exercise plan Carmelo is also an authority on fitness and healthy lifestyle and has recently been signed as the new face of Luster White.
